TAMAIRA DAVIDSON, Toronto Criminal Defence Lawyer

Tamaira Davidson is an associate at Hicks Adams. She joined the firm in 2019. Her current practice focuses on criminal litigation. She has been before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. She has conducted several jury trials and has argued numerous Charter applications. She has had successful results in complex and high-profile cases. She has represented clients on charges ranging from Mischief to Murder. Tamaira is passionate about helping marginalized groups navigate the intricacies of the criminal justice system.

Tamaira received her Jurist Doctorate from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. In her final year, Tamaira assisted on a 12-week multi-count co-accused jury trial before the Superior Court of Justice. In her first year, she worked with a distinguished legal clinic that serviced Indigenous persons. Tamaira would travel across Northern Ontario to various fly-in communities advocating for her clients. Tamaira has always focused on defending against serious criminal allegations and Charter infringements.

Before law school, Tamaira received her Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph. Through her schooling, she partnered with Innocence Canada and Pro Bono Students Canada to provide access to justice in her community. Tamaira has been assisting individuals in the justice system since 2015.
